In 2009, Mayo Clinic introduced the Mayo Clinic Health Manager which utilizes Microsoft's HealthVault Web-based personal health record platform.
With Mayo Clinic Health Manager, users are able to create online personal health records for themselves and family members, regardless of where they receive their health care. Users access HealthVault to enter, collect, and manage their health information. Vertigo Treatment from the Medical Edge Program of the Mayo Clinic
This video was produced by the Medical Edge program at the Mayo Clinic and presented by Vivian Williams. Dr. Scott Eggers demonstrates a type of treatment for vertigo that is caused by calcium crystals entering the wrong part of the ear. He uses a series of head positions as a physical therapy to help move the crystals to their proper position within the year. One patient is used in this video and he describes the positive effect of the treatment on his ability to function normally afterward.
