Maya 3D is the industry standard in 3D modeling software. Almost all 3D video games were made in Maya 3D. Most of the 3D visual effects we see in movies and on TV were made in Maya 3D. Architects and engineers also design real buildings and machines in Maya 3D. Open to third-party software, Maya 3D is highly customizable. A software development kit comes with Maya 3D. It also comes with its own fully interconnected scripting language, Maya Embedded Language, or MEL. Using this scripting language, animators can customize Maya 3D without knowing how to program in C or C++.
