  • Career Overview

    Maximo Park was formed by Duncan Lloyd, Archis Tiku, Lukas Wooller and Tom English in 2000, with Tiku serving as the vocalist and frontman. After discovering singer Paul Smith, who had never previously been involved in music professionally, they released their first album themselves in 2004.

    In 2005, the group released their debut studio album, A Certain Trigger, on Warp Records. The album was nominated for a Mercury Prize that year, and won the band spots on the NME Rock and Roll Riot Tour and the Glastonbury Festival. The follow-up, Our Earthly Pleasures, was released in April of 2007.
