Maurice Ravel

Maurice Ravel was an influential turn-of-the-twentieth-century French composer, orchestrator and pianist who is most well known as one of the defining composers of the impressionist movement.

Life

Maurice Ravel grew up in France and began to collaborate with artist Sergei Diaghilev at an early age. He rose to fame in late in life in 1928 in his home country and began to tour the world playing his compositions on the piano. He went on to score films and orchestral pieces.
