In January of 2009, Maureen Lirette of Ashland, Lousiana was sentenced to five years probation and ordered to register as a sex offender after pleading guilty to three charges of carnal knowledge of a juvenile. Lirette admitted to having sex with a group of six teen boys, two of whom were thirteen, in her home on May 21, 2008. Lirette could have been sentenced to up to thirty years in prison for her crimes, but the boys' families requested that she not receive jail time, according to first assistant district attorney Carlos Lazarus.Houma Today: Woman guilty of sex with teens (January 21, 2009)
