Matt Ward

M. Ward is an American singer-songwriter and producer from Portland, Oregon.

Prior to going solo, Ward played in a band called Rodriguez. His solo debut, Duet for Guitars #2, was released in 1999 on Howe Gelb's Ow Om Recordings. In 2001, he released End of Amnesia on Future Farmer Records. Ward signed with Merge Records in 2003 and released Transfiguration of Vincent. That album was followed by Transistor Radio in 2005 and Post-War in 2006. His latest album, Hold Time, was released on February 17, 2009.

Ward has toured and recorded with Bright Eyes, Jenny Lewis Norah Jones and Jenny Lewis of Rilo Kiley. In 2008, he released an album with actress Zooey Deschanel under the name She & Him.
