  • 26-year-old British actor Matt Smith has been chosen to replace David Tennant as Doctor Who on the classic British TV series. He will be the youngest actor to ever portray the iconic character. Smith will film four Doctor Who specials over the course of 2009, which will debut on the BBC in 2010. Smith previously starred on a 2006 TV adaptation of the Philip Pullman story The Ruby in the Smoke.
