Matt Lindstrom

  • Major League Baseball right-handed pitcher Matt Lindstrom currently plays for the Florida Marlins. His specialty is his fastball, which has been clocked at 102 MPH.

    After turning down a scholarship to the University of California, he was drafted in 2002 by the New York Mets, and immediately placed in the minor leagues. There he was shuffled between several teams over the next four years. On November 20, 2006, Lindstrom was traded to the Florida Marlins, where he made his MLB debut on April 4, 2007. He played 71 games during his rookie season, registering his first win on June 2, 2007 against the Milwaukee Brewers.
