• Trouble with the Law

  Arkansas police allege that Jones refused to show his hands upon initial request. When questioned, Jones admitted that the white powder found in his car was cocaine. • Incident with Porter

  On November 6, 2008, Jones responded to quotes made by Dolphins receiver Joey Porter. Porter was criticizing a fine he received for criticizing an official when he referenced Matt Jones legal troubles in comparison stating, he was "still trying to figure out how a guy gets caught with cocaine in his car and still plays the game and nothing happens."

  Jones responded to those comments by stating, "I don't even know why he's even thinking about me. I mean, maybe he likes other men and sits up and thinks about stuff, so I don't know. ...
