Matt Hasselbeck is the starting quarterback for the Seattle Seahawks of the National Football League. Hasselbeck was sidelined in October of 2008 with a sore knee and a bulging disc in his back.

NFL Career
Hasselbeck was drafted by the Green Bay Packers in 1998 and played backup to Brett Favre. In 2001, Hasselbeck was traded to the Seahawks where he eventually became the starter. He had the NFL's highest passer rating in 2005 while leading Seattle to Super Bowl XL against the eventual champion Pittsburgh Steelers.SeattleSeahawks.com: Matt HasselbeckHasselbeck led the Seahawks back to the playoffs in 2006. They defeated the Dallas Cowboys in the first round, but lost to the Chicago Bears in their next game.
