Matt Damon is an American actor and screenwriter. Born in 1970 to Nancy Carlsson-Paige and Kent Damon, Damon's parents divorced when he was 3. Damon increased his visibility as an actor in 1996 when he and his childhood friend Ben Affleck co-wrote and starred in the film Good Will Hunting.
