Matt Bonner is a professional basketball player with the San Antonio Spurs, in the National Basketball Association.
Bonner was drafted by the Chicago Bulls and was immediately traded to the Toronto Raptors. Since the Raptors did not have a roster spot for him, Bonner was asked to play in Europe for a year. After playing for the Sicilian team, he returned to the NBA and signed with the Raptors in 2004. Bonner played in all 82 games that season and earned the nickname "Red Rocket."
In 2006, Bonner was traded to the San Antonio Spurs. During the 2006-07 season, Bonner played in 56 games and average nearly 5 points per game. He was part of the 2007 Spurs team that won the NBA Championship.
