Matt Beck is an animal control officer who owns a dairy farm in Hoosick, New York. He has been charged with killing two dogs, disposing of their remains and forging state documents to cover his tracks.WTEN: Animal control officer may have killed dogs (March 25, 2009)
Dog Theft
According to the charges, April Stevens's three dogs got loose in early March 2009. Shortly afterward, neighbor Farin Harris called police to say that that three stray dogs had taken shelter in her barn. Beck was sent to the Harris residence and picked up the dogs. Police allege that he took two of the dogs back to his dairy farm and disposed of them. She called Stevens, saying that she had turned the dogs over to Stevens.
