- More likely to get again if you have had it in the past
- Symptoms: Pain, swelling, redness, lumps in breast, lump in armpit, nipple discharge
- Left untreated can develop an abscess
- Treatment: Antibiotics, warm compresses, drinking extra fluids and mild pain relievers
- Also a problem in veterinary medicine
