    The word mastiff refers to a breed of dogs that have been around since the 6th century B.C. The English Mastiff, American Mastiff and Bullmastiff are all part of this breed.

    A huge, heavy-boned breed, the mastiff has a powerful muscular frame. It has shortlength fur made up of a dense undercoat and a coarse outer coat.
