The Masters is a professional golf tournament held every April in Augusta, Georgia. It is considered the first of the four major golf tournaments held each year, along with the United States Open, the British Open and the PGA Championship. This page features links to the Masters leaderboard for the tournament.
The Masters 2010 was especially notable, but not so much for the numbers on the leaderboard. The Masters marked the return of professional golf for Tiger Woods, getting back on the course to compete after months of drama associated with numerous instances of infidelity with his wife, Elin. The 2010 Masters teed off on April 5, 2010, and concluded on April 11, 2010, with Phil Mickelson taking the commanding win with a total score of -16.
After the practice rounds were completed, the first round of the tournament got underway on April 8, 2010. Following the opening round, Fred Couples was in the lead at -6. Five players tied for second place at -6, while Tiger Woods was tied for seventh with an opening-round score of 68 for -4. Couples went +3 during round two, dropping to a tie for ninth with Ian Poulter and Lee Westwood, both at -8, taking the lead after two rounds.http://www.masters.com/en_US/index.html
Another notable bit of news for the 2010 edition was the introduction of 3D coverage. To view the two hours of 3D coverage, users will need a 3D-capable television, compatible 3D glasses and Comcast cable television service.
Angel Cabrera won the The 2009 Masters tournament, defeating Kenny Perry in the second playoff hole.Masters.org: Masters Leaderboard
