  • Massive Attack is an electronic music group from England that was started in 1988. Their music is characterized by music which combines hip-hop, jazz and elements of electronic music. They were instrumental in the development of the trip-hop genre which grew popular in the 1990s. As part of the music scene which developed in and around Bristol, England, Massive Attack often collaborated with other artists, and are associated with other artists, Tricky and The Wild Bunch. They have also collaborated with such high-profile artists as Sinéad O'Connor, Madonna, and Tracey Thorn from Everything But The Girl.
