Massage therapy involves the application of kneading and pressure to the skin and muscles to relieve tension, ease pain, or promote relaxation. A massage practitioner is typically trained in one or more massage disciplines (such as Shiatsu, Swedish massage, or Medical massage) and can choose the method most suited to the client. Massage therapy can be used for psychological as well as physical benefit.
