Mass Effect 2

Mass Effect 2 is an upcoming RPG and the sequel to the hugely popular 2007 release, Mass Effect. The game will be the middle entry in what is planned to be a trilogy of games.

The first trailer for Mass Effect 2 was released on February 20, 2009, but gave little information about the game. The majority of information given in the trailer is simply a static-riddled transmission that provides a recap of events that happened in the first game. But at the end of the trailer, the transmision says that Commander Shepherd, the player-controlled and customized character from the first game was "killed in action." Very little is known about the story of Mass Effect 2 at this time, though it is expected to continue to cover the intergalactic dealings of humans with other intelligent races throughout the universe. Like the story, very little is known about the specific gameplay in Mass Effect 2, though it is expected to be similar to that of the first game.
