  • Buying Guide

There are many different mascara types available. Some add length while others add thickness.

Thickeners are better for evenings while those that lengthen might be better for work or daily use.

Waterproof and long wearing are a couple of other nice features to consider. If you are a swimmer or an athlete wearing a waterproof mascara will be prevent a mess if your eye lashes get wet. Long wearing lasts all day so you don't need to reapply.

There are many colors available. The most common color is black but if you are light skinned wearing a brown mascara might look better. There are also a variety of colorful mascaras for those who want a bit more of a flashy look.

  • Application

If you want to curl your lashes do that first. Use the mascara wand by holding it horizontally or parallel to your eye. Starting with the upper lashes, slowly draw the wand upward allowing the lashes to separate. Let the first coat dry and then reapply.

Do the same for the lower lashes but this time draw the wand slowly downward. One coat is enough for the lower lashes.

Remove any errors with a little bit of makeup remover on a cotton swab or q-tip.
