Mary Pat Fossella

Mary Pat Fossella is the wife of New York Congressman Vito Fossella. On May 8, 2008, Congressman Fossella admitted having and affair and fathering a three-year-old child with former Air Force Lieutenant Colonel Laura Fay.

Mrs. Fossella has not commented publicly on the matter, but published reports said she was considering leaving her husband in the wake of the scandal. The Fossellas have three children together.

Fossella's admission of the affair with Laura Fay came one week after the Staten Island Republican was arrested in Virginia on charges of driving under the influence. Questions were raised after Fossella said in a statement that he called Ray after his arrest. Reports said Fossella told authorities he was on his way to see his sick child.
