Mary-Louise Parker

Actress Mary-Louise Parker won a Golden Globe award in 2005 for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series for her leading role in the Showtime series Weeds. Her other notable works include Fried Green Tomatoes and Boys on the Side.

Parker disclosed in an interview with More Magazine's June 2009 issue that she's "bitter" after she was "goaded" into filming a naked scene in the bathtub on the set of Weeds. Parker has a child with actor Billy Crudup. Her son William Atticus Parker was born on January 7, 2007. She broke up with Crudup when she was seven months pregnant. Parker adopted a baby girl from Africa in September of 2007.

Before her television and movie career, Parker had a successful stage career. She was nominated for a Tony Award, and won a Theater World Award for her role in the theater version of Prelude to a Kiss. She won another Tony for her performance in Proof in 2001.
