Jermaine Jumpp Lawsuit
Jermaine Jumpp and Michael C. Adams filed suit against Blige and Jay-Z, as well as others, for allegedly stealing their song titled "On My Grind" and using the tune for Blige's single titled "Enough Cryin." Jumpp and Adams were said to have given producer Rodney "Darkchild" Jerkins the disc containing their song four years before Blige's song was recorded and produced by Jerkins.
The 120 day statute of limitation ran its course and papers were not delivered to the defendants but, the presiding judge allowed the case to continue, stating the fact that Blige and Jay-Z knew about the accusations and the upcoming court date.
