Mary Birdsong is an American actress and musician. She can be seen regularly on the Comedy Central reality-cop show spoof [[Reno 911!]]. She has also appeared on other Comedy Central shows, including the short-lived debate show Crossballs and the comedy news program The Daily Show where she had a stint as a correspondent. Birdsong has also performed in several off-Broadway musicals.

Late comer to Reno
Mary Birdsong plays Deputy Cheresa Kimball on [[Reno 911!]], but she is the only regular cast member who was not on the show since it first aired. The character first appeared as one of many rookies who were attempting to join the Reno Police force. After all the others were eliminated fr various reasons, Kimball was the only one left, and a reluctant Lt. Dangle was forced to hire her. The character's sexuality is never openly discussed, but most of the jokes concerning her seem to suggest that Kimball is a lesbian with a proclivity toward African-American women. -
