Marv Albert is an NBA sportscaster, sometimes referred to as "the voice of basketball." Albert began calling games for the New York Knicks in 1967. Albert faced a storm of controversy in 1997 when he went on trial for forcible sodomy and biting. After DNA testing confirmed Albert's guilt, Albert was dropped from NBC. He returned to the network calling NBA games for the 2000-2001 season. Albert is currently the primary announcer of the New York Knicks, New Jersey Nets and New York Rangers.
