Football Career
Prior to playing in the NFL, Booker played college football with the ULM Warhawks in the NCAA. Starting three years at ULM, he recorded 178 catches for 2,784 yards and 23 touchdowns. Booker earned All-Independent honors and ranks second for Warhawks' career receptions. After college, Booker was selected 78th overall in the 1999 NFL draft by the Chicago Bears.
Booker joined the Chicago Bears for his professional debut in 1999, playing in nine games and recording 19 receptions for 219 yards and three touchdowns, He continued with the Bears for four additional seasons, recording his statistically best seasons in 2001 and 2002 and earning his first Pro Bowl selection in 2002.NFL.com: Marty Booker
