Martin Luther King III is the first son of Martin Luther King Jr. and Coretta Scott King.
As an activist, King led the Southern Christian Leadership Conference and the King Center for Nonviolent Social Change before founding Realizing the Dream, for which he currently serves as the head.
King spoke at the memorial service for the late pop music icon Michael Jackson at the Staples Center in Los Angeles on July 7, 2009.
King Family Lawsuit
On July 11, 2008, Bernice King and Martin Luther King III filed a lawsuit against Dexter King. The suit alleges that King misused funds from the Coretta Scott King estate.
