Martin Dinnegan

Martin Dinnegan was a 14 year old boy who was chased by a gang of up to 20 youths and fatally stabbed. He was stabbed a total of 6 times, twice by a screwdriver, 4 times by a knife just because he allegedly gave a gang a "dirty look." Martin was born in the rough end of Glasgow, but moved to London at the age of 3 as his parents wanted to raise their children in a non-violent environment. Unfortunately for them, this is how Martin met his end.
During his 14 years he made a wealth of friends and was doing well in school. He steered clear of gangs and was considered a pleasant young man by those he met.
Joseph Chin (16) was sentenced to 12 years for the murder of young Martin. Kevron Williams (17) was sentenced to 4 years for stabbing Martin twice with a screwdriver.
The verdicts were of little solace to Martin's family, who were sentenced to a lifetime without their son.
