Actress Marta Kristen was first "discovered" at a drive-in restaurant in Santa Monica, CA when producer/director/writer James B. Harris asked if she would like to try out for the title role in Lolita. Although her mother did not think it would be a good role for her, Harris helped her find an agent and shortly thereafter, she won her first role, on The Loretta Young Show.
