Married to the Mob is a comedic, gangster romance movie released on August 19, 1988. An "R" rated film released by Orion Pictures, it stars Michelle Pheiffer, Matthew Modine, Dean Stockwell and Alec Baldwin.
Plot Synopsis
Married to the Mob's Angela DeMarco (Michelle Pheiffer) unwittingly finds herself in a complicated triangle. Her mob husband, Frank "The Cucumber" DeMarco (Alec Baldwin), becomes involved with the mistress of his boss, Tony "The Tiger" Russo (Dean Stockwell), who has both her and DeMarco killed after he finds out about their affair. At Frank DeMarco's funeral, Russo becomes taken by the beauty of his bereaved wife and begins to pursue her. Angela DeMarco decides that this would be a good time to separate her and herself from their mob connections. She takes her son and they move to another town. When she meets her new neighbor, Mike Downey (Matthew Modine), she is convinced he is a very inept mobster, but instead he turns out to be an FBI agent who has been assigned to keep her under surveillance as the agency believes that she is Russo's new mistress. The plot thickens as Downey finds himself falling in love with Angela.
