On September 10, 2008, the New Orleans Saints announced that NFL star Marques Colston will miss four to six weeks of the 2008 - 2009 season after tearing a ligament in his left thumb.
Colston had surgery to reattach the ligament to his thumb on September 9, 2008.
Colston signed a three-year extension in 2008, he has at least 1,000 yards a season and has made 168 catches and in the past two seasons.
