Support of Jeremy Piven
Wahlberg publicly offered support for actor Jeremy Piven in early February 2009 after Piven came under criticism for abruptly abandoning his role in the Broadway play Speed the Plow. Piven said he could not continue due to having an abnormally high mercury count in his system. Wahlberg told US Magazine, "He was more disappointed than anybody.
