Sports: Mark Titus enters NBA draft, is kindly asked to leave (April 30, 2009) In April 2009, he announced on his blog Club Trillion that he was considering entering the NBA draft instead of returning to finish his senior year. He was rebuffed, however, by the NBA, which said hat he had made a "mockery" of the draft and demanded that he remove his name. In his follow-up post, Titus admitted that the offer had been a publicity stunt "to a certain (very large) extent," but that he did hold a kernel of hope that he would be taken seriously.Yahoo! The NBA ... demanded I pull my name out “or else.” I assume the “or else” meant they were going to make me do an NBA Catalog commercial like Larry Bird did in 1987.
