  • Minnesota native Mark Parrish plays professional hockey for the Minnesota Wild in the National Hockey League.
  • NHL Career

    Parrish was drafted 79th overall in the 1996 NHL Draft by the Colorado Avalanche. After the draft, he played one additional season with St. Cloud State University before joining the Seattle Thunderbirds of the Western Hockey League in 1997. The Avalanche traded Parrish to the Florida Panthers on March 24, 1998. He made his NHL debut with the Panthers that same year and joined them for a total of two seasons. Parrish was traded to the New York Islanders on June 24, 2000. He spent six seasons with the Islanders before going to the Los Angeles Kings. Parrish completed the 2005-06 season with the Kings and signing as a free agent with the Minnesota Wild on July 1, 2006.
