  • American professional hockey player Mark Mowers plays for the Fribourg-Gotteron in the Nationalliga A in Switzerland. He previously played in the National Hockey League from 1998 to 2007.
  • NHL Career

    Mowers entered the NHL by signing as a free agent with the Nashville Predators on June 11, 1998. He made his NHL debut that same year and split his first four seasons between the Predators and their American Hockey League affiliate, the Milwaukee Admirals. On August 5, 2002, Mowers signed as a free agent with the Detroit Red Wings. During the 2004-05 NHL lockout, he played for the IF Malmo Redhawks in Sweden and the Fribourg-Gotteron in Switzerland. Following the lockout, Mowers played one additional season with the Wings, then signed with the Boston Bruins on July 6, 2006. The Bruins sent him to the Anaheim Ducks on September 24, 2007. Mowers joined the Ducks for 17 games during the 2007-08 season, then was assigned to the SC Bern in the Nationalliga A.
