On Monday January 11th, 2010 Mark McGwire admitted In a statement sent to the Associated Press that he had used Steroids when he broke the Major League Baseball single season home run record in 1998, a record previously held by Roger Maris. McGwire told the AP "I wish I had never touched steroids, It was foolish and it was a mistake. I truly apologize.
