Florida prisoner Mark Dean Schwab was executed on July 1, 2008, exactly 16 years after he was convicted of the rape and murder of eleven-year-old Junny Rios-Martinez Jr.. He was killed by lethal injection.

Stay of Execution
In December of 2006, Florida prisoner Angel Diaz was executed by lethal injection, but required a second injection before expiring 34 minutes after the process began.
