Mark Daryl Becker was arrested for murder of Aplington-Parkersburg High School football coach Ed Thomas on June 24, 2009.
Becker shot Coach Thomas at point blank range in the high school's weight room at about 8:00 a.m. Thomas died at a hospital in Waterloo, Iowa. Suspect's Past Criminal Record
In January and February of 2009, Becker pleaded guilty to charges of assault causing injury, possession of drub paraphernalia and criminal mischief.
