Mark Antony

Roman general Mark Antony was a friend and ally of Julius Caesar, and also the husband of Egyptian pharaoh Cleopatra VII.

Antony and Cleopatra committed suicide within days of each other in 30 BC, and are believed to have been buried together near Alexandria. In April 2009, a team of archaeologists announced that they were close to finding the tomb, which they believed to be located at the Taposiris Magna, 50 kilometers west of Alexandria.Voice of America: Archaeologists Closing In on Possible Site of Cleopatra's Tomb (April 18, 2009)
