Basketball Career
Chalmers played basketball in high school, leading Bartlett High School to state championships in 2002 and 2003. He averaged 25.3 points per game and was named All-American. In 2005, Chalmers enrolled at the University of Kansas. He set school records each year and was instrumental in the Kansas Jayhawks' 2008 NCAA Championship. Chalmers was selected 34th overall in the 2008 NBA draft by the Minnesota Timberwolves. Later in 2008, he was traded to the Miami Heat.
