Career
From 1987 until 1989, Maria Shriver co-anchored Sunday Today and weekend editions of NBC Nightly News. In 2003 when her husband became governor of California, she took an unpaid leave of absence. Maria and her husband have recently discovered that they had earned more than $230,000 in the time they had been doing the ads. They had originally turned down any form of payment, but were paid a minimum, required in the Screen Actors Guild Union.
