Marcus Darell Williams was born in Los Angeles, California, on December 3, 1985. He attended high school at Oak Hill Academy in Virginia and continued his education at the University of Connecticut. Pro Career
In his first season with the Nets, Williams averaged 6.8 points, 3.3 assists, 2.1 rebounds and 16.6 minutes in 79 games. In his second season with the Nets, Williams averaged 5.9 points and 2.6 assists in 53 games.NBA.com: Marcus Williams
On July 22, 2008, Williams was traded from the Nets to the Golden State Warriors for a first-round draft pick. In his nine games with the Warriors, Williams averaged six minutes per game, a field goal percentage of .235, and three-point and free throw averages of .333.
