Arthur LeMarcus Banks was born in Las Vegas, Nevada, on November 19, 1981, and he went on to attend Cimarron Memorial High School. He continued his education at the University of Nevada Las Vegas. Pro Career
After the draft, Banks was traded to the Boston Celtics. In his first season, Banks appeared in 81 games and averaged 5.9 points and 17.1 minutes per game. In 2005, Banks was traded to the Minnesota Timberwolves. The following season, Banks signed as a free agent with the Phoenix Suns. Then in 2008, Banks was traded to the Miami Heat with Shawn Marion, for center Shaquille O'Neal.
