Retired National Football League running back Marcus Allen is currently a football analyst with the NFL Network. Allen won the Heisman Trophy in 1981 while playing for the University of Southern California. He went on to play 16 seasons in the NFL between the Los Angeles Raiders and the Kansas City Chiefs. He earned numerous NFL awards including Super Bowl XVIII MVP in 1984. Following the 1997 season, Allen retired from professional football to begin his broadcasting career. Allen was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2003.
