Marco Scutaro

  • Marco Scutaro is a Venezuelan Major League Baseball player for the Toronto Blue Jays. Signed as an amateur free agent by the Cleveland Indians in 1994, Scutaro spent the seven seasons as a minor league prospect for the Indians and Milwaukee Brewers. Scutaro was sent to the Brewers in 2000 as the player to be named later in a trade which sent Paul Rigdon, Richie Sexon and Kane Davis from Cleveland to Milwaukee in exchange for Bob Wickman, Steve Woodard, and Jason Bere. In 2002 the New York Mets signed Scutaro off waivers, and he played parts of two seasons in New York before being waived again. Scutaro would go on to play three seasons with the Oakland Athletics before a trade sent him to the Blue Jays in exchange for Graham Godfrey and Kristian Bell.
