March Madness 2010

March Madness 2010 refers to the 72nd annual, single-elimination NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Tournament that will feature the top 65 teams from the 2009-2010 season playing at various sites across the nation. March Madness, also known as "The Big Dance", is when teams suit up and prepare for continuous collegiate basketball play over the span of a couple weeks for a chance at becoming the national champion this year.

Teams will be chosen on Selection Sunday where they be entered into their regional bracket. Games will be played in various locations for the four rounds until there are four regional winners, widely known as the "Final Four". On Selection Sunday, each team will be placed in a regional bracket and given a seed number which is determined by how they have played throughout the season. The match-ups will be determined by their seed, where the 1 seed will play the 16 seed, the 2 seed will play the 15 seed, and so forth. Teams will play through their bracket advancing one tier at a time, moving through to the second round, the Sweet Sixteen, the Elite Eight, the Final Four, and eventually into the Championship game.
