  • Marc Savard is a Canadian professional hockey player, currently playing for the Boston Bruins in the National Hockey League.
  • Early Years

    Savard began his career in 1993, playing with the Oshawa Generals in the Ontario Hockey League. He was drafted 91st overall in the 1995 NHL Draft by the New York Rangers. Savard continued with the Generals for two additional seasons before making his NHL debut in 1997. After splitting his first two seasons between the Rangers and their American Hockey League affiliate, Savard was traded to the Calgary Flames in 1999.
  • Recent Years

    Savard played just over three seasons in Calgary then he was sent to the Atlanta Thrashers early in the 2002-03 season. In his third year with the Thrashers, 2005-06, Savard scored 28 goals and 69 assists for a career best 97 regular season points. Following the season he entered free agency and signed with the Boston Bruins in July 2006. Most recently, in 2008, Savard was selected for his first NHL All-Star Game appearance.
