Marc Anthony is a Puerto Rican-American singer and actor and is the husband of actress and singer Jennifer Lopez. Anthony has appeared in a number of films. In 2007, he played the lead role in the film El Cantante, based on the life of salsa singer Hector Lavoe.
Marc Anthony began his singing career working as a backing vocalist for Menudo and the Latin Rascals. When Freestyle (an upbeat mix of latin music and hip-hop) was at it's height of popularity in the early 1990s, Marc Anthony wrote and produced for some of the great freestyle artists including Sa-Fire, Ann-Marie and Little Louie Vega.
Silver Cross Stroller Lawsuit
Lopez and Anthony filed suit against the Silver Cross stroller company for allegedly using a photo of the couple pushing their twins in one of their strollers in an ad without permission. Salsa and Spanish Music
By the mid 1990s, Marc Anthony began releasing Spanish language albums and collaborating with other latin singers, including La India. In 1999, he crossed back over into the mainstream with his U.S. top five hit "I Need To Know."
