  • NHL Career

    Bergeron entered the NHL by signing as a free agent with the Edmonton Oilers on July 20, 2001. He was assigned to the Hamilton Bulldogs, an Oilers American Hockey League affiliate, for one season before making his NHL debut with the Oilers in 2002. During the 2004-05 NHL lockout, Bergeron played for the Brynas IF Gavle in the Swedish Elitserien. After the lockout, he played nearly two additional seasons with the Oilers, then was traded to the New York Islanders on February 18, 2007. His next move came on February 26, 2008, when he was sent to the Anaheim Ducks. Following the 2007-08 season, the Ducks traded Bergeron to the Minnesota Wild on June 10, 2008.
