  • Manolo Blahnik is one of the most prominent shoe designers in the world. His shoes gained mainstream popularity on the hit show Sex and the City.

  • The Designer

    Born Santa Cruz de La Palma, Manolo Blahnik was born in the Canary Islands and raised on a banana plantation.

    After graduating from the University of Geneva he obtained a degree in literature in 1965. Soon after he studied art in Paris. In 1973 he opened his first shop after buying out "Zapata" shoe store in Chelsea, London.

    He was awarded an honorary title on the Queens Birthday list as Commander of the British empire for his service to the British fashion industry.
